Catherine Kapikian, artist and director of the Henry LuceIII Center for the Arts and Religion at Wesley Theological Seminary, gave a talk illuminated with images, including process steps, in a symposium at the Washington National Cathedral on October 18, 2014.

She discussed eight permanent works commissioned by religious communities and fabricated by their members. The national church of the United Methodists, the chapel at the University of Maryland, and the meditation space at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center are among the sites.
