Application open for 2016 Art Action UK Residency Project

Following the successful Residency Project in 2015 with Yoi Kawakubo, Art Action UK is excited to announce that the 2016 Residency Project is now open for applications. The scope of the residency has been broadened and both curators and artists have been invited to apply.

Art Action UK is a catalyst organisation with the aim of creating opportunities for cultural practitioners to develop strategies that will shed light on the issues overlooked by mainstream media. It actively engages with artists and curators who represent marginalised political concerns and facilitates spaces to explore both artistic and socio political interventions. These include participatory projects, exhibitions, talks and discussions. Responding to the earthquake, tsunami and Fukushima nuclear meltdown of 2011, it feels that it is important that the voices of those affected and concerned about subsequent political issues are not silenced.
