Beauty is not pasted over suffering but grows out of it—like the proverbial shoot from parched ground. Bruce Herman

Art and the Church

Art and the Church - Word and Image Bible Studies

The studies can be used for group discussions or personal reflection. They could be used by Bible study groups that would like to try a different approach to the text in order to gain fresh insights. Word and image supplement each other. The artwork translates the Word into images that can speak to us in another way than words: more concrete, less abstract, so that we more easily can become part of what we are reading and it can touch us in new and deeper ways.

Do try these studies with your group and let us know what you think.
